SSL for GS staging sites
complete

I am passing this along as a request from a customer. They would like to have SSL for staging with White Label sites.
This affects White Label customers, however, this is the only time I've heard of someone requesting it.
Similar to how we have SSL for staging on FCP, hopefully, we can add it for the White Label sites too.

The Growth Suite team has been working hard on allowing Growth Suite Staging sites to have SSL installed by default, and we can now officially say it is here! All Growth Suite Staging sites on the Cloud Platform now have SSL and can load over HTTPS. You may notice that the staging site domains have changed slightly. The old domain template was staging.
.mysites.io and the new template is
.staging.mysites.io.We understand that some customers may have recently sent out links of their staging sites to their clients, and if we changed those domains, then their clients wouldn’t be able to view them. So the GS team made it so that all existing GS staging sites can load from either of the 2 domains. This will make sure and links out in the world will still be viewable. However, only the new *.staging.mysites.io will be viewable over HTTPS.

And here's a great snippet to use as a reply in the meantime
Regarding the SSL, that is expected behavior with this particular staging URL format (
staging.*.mysites.io
) - at this time, only staging domains using the standard flywheelstaging.com format are covered by the *.flywheelstaging.com wildcard certificate that is housed in our caching layer. There is no workaround for this issue, but it is something that we are aware of and working on getting a fix out for. We don't have a timeline available, but our support team has requested this from our product and engineering teams to help improve the staging workflow on sites using mysites.io.
We do have a help doc here that walks through how to bypass the security warning if it would help to pass the steps along to your client! Just let me know if you have any other questions.
