Growth Suite | Scheduled Subscriptions

Erin Olson Curious about an update on this. Comments say it should be released by now. If so, I don't think what was released covers the initial request.
I just sent a one-time invoice to a client for registering some new domain names for them to get them reserved.
I'd hoped I could go in and go ahead and set up the subscription invoice for their annual renewals. I would like to set that up to go out on 01/01/2024 (about a month before they expire).
If a set everything up and he "Send" it is going to immediately send them an invoice NOW for something that's not actually due for another year with the statement of "Due Upon Receipt" on the invoice. That's not what's needed.
I want to set up the invoice now. Set the next billing date (01/01/2024) and on THAT date I'd like Growth Suite to send the invoice to the client with it being due at that point and time upon receipt.
As stated by Austin Ballard, not being able to do that, now requires some manual alternative to be configured to remind myself to create the invoice in 11 months and just start from the beginning then.
In summary... It would be nice to be able to set up an invoice for any future date and have the invoice sent out only on that date in the future. Nothing should be sent to the client for that billing currently.

You can now set specific due dates for client invoices in Growth Suite! Learn more here: https://getflywheel.com/wordpress-support/growth-suite-schedule-invoices/

Erin Olson: Hi Erin, this is great and much appreciated, but I'm wondering if there could be support and potential for a slight change in how this works.
It would be great to have the option to schedule payments in the future so that the first welcome email where the client submits their payment information and creates an account to happen at that future scheduled date.
We include hosting for 12 months with new website builds, as I'm sure lots of other agencies do. It's a bit of a weird process and not client friendly when I have they have paid upfront for the website, then we schedule the future email for their hosting in 12 months but they have to setup account and payment details now.
Would be much better if it was possible to delay the welcome/setup email date to this schedule date too.

+1 for this... it's so important for any agency or freelancer to be able to setup a once off payment or a subscription to start on a particular date. Without this feature, it requires us to set a manual reminder for the first payment which feels very manual and prone to human error, instead of having the ability to schedule a start date here.
Excited to see this added in near future! For our agency it really is the difference between using Growth Suite or not.

Set up recurring subscription in advance

Other invoice software allows you to set up/activate a recurring subscription with a client, say, mid month, to start on the 1 of the next month.
Need this to be able to get the auto payments set up at project kick off while the client is hot, and to make this process low maintenance

Would love to see this on Growth Suite.
Also, here's a specific custo asking for this feature on WL.

Aaron Bryan: Thanks Aaron! I moved this idea over to our public Growth Suite Beta board. We have this work designed out and should go to engineering within the next 1-2 months.

Jason Bean - Bnpositive I just merged your recent submission with this. We will have this work done in Q1 2021. You'll be able to set the date of when you want to invoice to start/bill, and your clients can "accept" it prior to that, get their payment method set up, and then it will start charging on the date you set.

Change Billing Invoice Date
Jason Bean - Bnpositive
Right now if I send a new subscription invoice to a new client and they setup payment, the invoice and automatic payment is setup for the date the client sets up the initial payment.
It would be nice if I could set the default next payment date to be the 1st of the month.
For example, I need to send a new client an invoice out today for work completed. They will begin having monthly charges moving forward.
When they pay and setup automatic billing on their end, the initial payment would be made today and their January bill wouldn't show as due until the 18th of January.
I would prefer if they paid the bill today it was charged today for their initial payment, but future payments are due on 1st of each month. So they would be billed again on 01/01 not 01/18.
